DO YOU TWEET?
When did life become so complicated - or is it just my perception? Am I just getting older? A long time ago, on this planet, Earth, people used to call each other form the phone booth, or from their home phone. Then they used to meet up face to face and talk and could even give and get a hug. We used to look at one another's facial expressions and gestures. We connected and laughed and shared in a very authentic way.
Gone are those days and I am being pulled into Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter because that is how life is now. And texting - well, I would really like to abolish texting! In and out of the car while driving! I miss the human connections, I really do. Big leap we have made in technology but I am not convinced it is in our best interests. You cannot tell the tone of a person in a text message. You cannot count on the truth being told online. I guess I would like to have a little of the "old days" back but I know that won't happen. So, I will try and "stay safe" as some people have told me with their cautions about using all the social media outlets. I have also been told to get a thicker skin and not be sensitive about lies and criticisms. Look for the good and be happy about reconnecting with old friends and finding out about what is happening in someone's life a thousand miles away. Ok, I will do my best, but I would still prefer a face to face phone call, you know, Facetime, with a person rather than a text:)
